Welcome to Sri Lanka! This land has a great history of more than 2500 years, so here we have many cultural heritage sites.  There are 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites within the country including:  the hill capital Kandy, the sacred city of Anuradhapura, the Dutch fort of Galle, the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, the rock fortress of Sigiriya, the golden rock temple of Dambulla, the beautiful Horton plains and the Singharaja rain forest. In addition to these famous sites there are hundreds of other heritages sites on the island worth exploring. The climate is ideal year round. Sri Lanka is a year round beach destination where you can enjoy sandy beaches, sunshine and cool breezes. When the seas are rough on one side of the island it is calm on the other side, so there is always a desirable beach location to experience.

There are year round festivals with rich cultural heritage.  Sri Lanka’s ancient civilization endows the island with a legacy of colourful festivals relating to the Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Christian religions. Here you can experience many different cultural practices.  Rich in agriculture, we grow a variety of crops including vegetables and fruits, as well as world famous tea and spices. Endless magical combinations make for many different dishes to taste or to make on your own.

Sri Lanka is also an ideal place for adventure.  With over 1,600 km of coastline, Sri Lanka boasts wind-surfing, water-skiing, surfing, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, speed-boating and banana-boating. Prime water sports sites are located in the Negombo region on the west coast, Wadduwa, Kalutara and Beruwela on the southwestern coast and Bentota, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Unawatuna, Koggala, Tangalle and Hambantota on the southern and southeastern coasts.
